Mystery Street - Vinyl Joblottin' ep.19

Each week on Vinyl Joblottin’ we buy a bundle of vinyl at auction (or find one in a record shop, charity shop, car boot sale, etc). The records are a slice of a collection, giving us a glimpse into a collector’s past. Then we spin each joblot into a theme for you.

Every day is different for a joblotter. Some bids you win at auction, some you lose. You never know what genre of records will come up for sale. This week I’ve been on a losing streak, muscled out of the best vinyl lots by the big-hitters. But my luck changed when I gambled on this mystery bundle. The records led to a world of mean streets, film noir villains and hard-boiled detectives.
